A monthly luncheon highlights our Senior Adult Ministry. The second Thursday of every month senior adults from Lakeshore Baptist Church and the community meet for a great meal in The Mercy House (6077 Lakeshore Road) at 12:00 noon. Activities include games, special speakers, field trips, and more.
January 12, 2012 – A “Senior Planning Group” representative informs seniors about financial concerns such as taxes, investments, and the new health care act.
February 9, 2012 – Tim Lockley, entomology and newspaper colomnist, speaks about insects and other pests that intrude into our lives and how to control them.
March 8, 2012 – Bingo for prizes is a great activity to fill an afternoon. Come try your luck!
April 12, 2012 – A trip to Slidell for a Swamp Tour promises to let us see Spring in the Swamp. Dutch treat lunch at T-LeBlanc’s restaurant afterward.
May 10, 2012 – Mother’s Day will be celebrated by honoring all the mothers. Good food and a fun game to top it off.
June 14, 2012 – An afternoon at the movies is in order with “Facing the Giants.” A movie by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA. Popcorn will be provided.
